Comments on: 509 Market Street (pt. 1)
Reader comments and feedback for the 509 Market Street (pt. 1) photo.
This image is part of the ARKLATEX Ghost Hunters photo gallery This was a photo I took in the basement of 509 Market street in downtown Shreveport, LA (the Insty-Prints building). Security guards at this location talk of strange noises, footsteps, and other such phenomina.

You can see what appears to be some type of orb floating in the shot. My only light source was my flashlight, which I turned off before snapping the picture. |

Dust is all too often mistaken for "orbs." This is dust.

I considered that when I saw the pictures for the first time. However, there is a problem there.
I took around 25 photos all over the basement of that building and these objects only appear in two of them. The rest are dust-free and contain nothing out of the ordinary. I'm willing to admit the rooms were old and possibly dusty, but if so, why did I catch only one speck in each of only two pictures and not many specks at once? Dusty rooms have more than just one speck of dust in the air.
