Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator has been named to the Crime and Public Safety Transition Advisory Council by Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal.
The Council includes two groups - the Law Enforcement and Corrections Group, of which Prator is a member, and the Youth Development Group. Both will conduct public hearings to collect testimony and make recommendations to Jindal on crime and public safety issues pertaining to Jindal's Crime and Safety Reform Plan announced during his campaign for governor.
The Law Enforcement and Corrections Group will hold its first public hearing on December 10 at Kirby Smith Hall on LSU Campus in Baton Rouge, and the Youth Development Group will hold a public hearing on December 14, also at Kirby Smith Hall.
