Post Suicide Squirrels!

Squirrels that fry themselves on power lines and transformers cause tens of thousands of blackouts every year.

I remember back in the Navy that we had contraptions called rat guards on our mooring lines to prevent rats from boarding the ships by running up these lines. Maybe they could make a similar contraptions to help keep squirrels off power lines. The only problem there is where trees are cut too close to the power lines. The squirrels could then jump accross to them.

Not to mention the number of power lines.. maybe we should delve into why all these Squirrels have such a low opinion of themselves ?
