Casino gaming strategies Nov 2 2007 04:53 PM - (views 0)
This is a new forum for those who like to go to the casino on occasion, talk about what's happening in Vegas, discuss different gaming strategies etc.

In SB, I have different casino preferences depending on which game I want to play. Lately, I have spent the most time at El Dorado and Sam's Town. Eldorado has Texas Holdem Bonus Poker and Sam's town has that crazy craps table with all the place bets 2-12.

My favorite casino game is craps. For those who are 'afraid' to try the game because it's too confusing or complicated--trust me, it's the most fun game in the casino and believe--I'm no math genius--and I even understand the game.

I am going to Vegas again in February. Our first stop that evening when we arrive will be at the Hard Rock where my wife and I will enjoy the Steak and Shrimp at Mr. Lucky's for $7.77. Our favorite casinos are Orleans (for cheap evening gaming); the Mirage Poker Room; we've also had the best luck with slots at the Mirage. We always have to have our noon chinese sit down meal at the Dragon Noodle at the Monte Carlo for about $8.00. I'm talking waiters, cloth napkins and tablecloths and cool quietness. The best parking spots are the NYNY parking garage and the mirage parking garage. (We always rent a car). We love to take side trips to Red Rock Canyon, Mt Charleston, Hoover Dam etc, off strip casinos, and downtown. You can rent a medium size care in vegas for about $140 total for a 5day 4 night trip. For buffets, we love the view and atmosphere at Bally's Big Kitchen Buffet. It is really 'old Vegas' with its glass and chrome and huge chandeliers. I am old school when it comes to shows. No circue d soleiu for me. I like singin, dancin and comedy like the old days. One of the best shows I've been to is a tribute show at the Riviera called "Barbara & Frank--the concert that never was". I was stunned it was so good. We also have really enjoyed Danny Gans, Gordie Brown, Lance Burton, Jubilee and Splash. On our next trip we plan to see the Schintas. I was sorry to see the Stardust go. I'm sure the Riviera, Circus Circus, and Tropicana aren't far behind the wrecking ball. I still like going to the old places and think about what the glamor days must have been like. I would welcome anyone's impressions of Vegas and what they like to do.
By the way, your crazy for standing in line for the breakfast buffet (unless its free). Go down to Terribles and have a great breakfast for less than $6.00.

Now for my latest craps strategie. I welcome your comments.

Assume a point is established. Let's say a 5.

Place $6 on the six and eight and $10 on the field. Keep $10 on the field as long as it is hitting. If a non field hits-say the six, take your $7.00 and reduce your field bet to $5.00. If a non field rolls, take the field bet off until it its again--then bet $10 again.

If the point is an even number also put $2 on the hardway for that point. If you get ahead with this strategy, increase your proposition bets. Place all the hardways--maybe do an ace deuce--yo or hi-lo.

Also watch for shooters who place the dice. They tend to either be non field or field streak throwers. My $ amounts are based to the cheapest scenario with a $5 table with a bankroll of about $200.

I would welcome anyone's comments and please share your strategies.

Good luck and stay within your budget.
