You need to read the article. It said the dog gets 12 million and her brother that will be caring for the dog got several million himself, as did two of 4 grandchildren. There is no charity that takes care of her dog. Even if that dog lived another 7 years could it eat 12 million dollars worth of food.

1. Dogs can't inherit money, she didn't leave any money to the dog, she left money to a trust or some similar construction whose stated purpose is the welfare of the dog 2. She left money to some entity to take care of another entity that cannot take care of itself. That's the definition of a charity. A charity that serves one animal is still a charity. |
