Ever called in sick?

Who here has called in sick when they weren't really sick? I won't say that I never have, but certainly it's been the exception rather than the rule, and at my current job I can honestly say that it hasn't happened in the 9 years I've been there. Mrs. Morph doesn't share my ideology, and frequently tries to persuade me to "take the day off". She can be (ahem) very persuasive and tonight the powers that be have royally pissed me off. The problem is that calling in sick doesn't hurt them, but my blameless coworkers, who will have to carry my load. I'm interested in hearing other experiences and perspectives.

Work ? Work ? that is a four letter word. I do not understand how someone could call in sick or show up late and feel like they should be paid for work not rendered. Hope you all have a great day at work.
