The Long-Allen bridge is the Texas St. bridge. Also, O.K. Allen wasn't governor until the 30s.

I vaguely remember the water tower. Wasn't that tower near the spot where Larry Flint's Hustler Club is now?? (And no, I've never been inside) I just remember the water tower before that particular facility was built.

There was a water tower on top of that bar on the corner of Commerce and (I think) Travis. I wasn't around in 1928, though, so I can't say if it's the same one. We should also remember that the river isn't in the same place as it was even in 1928.
>O.k. so what does that make the correct answer then I don't know. |

Where do I get my Toasty Os
The three bridges in the picture are:
FOREGROUND: The Old Illinois Central Bridge now owned by KCS. In Bossier its adjacent to Horseshoe in Shreveport its adjacent to Barnwell. MIDDLE: The "Old" bridge or Traffic Street Bridge which was at the location presently occupied by the I-20 Bridge. It connected Barksdale Blvd at Red River Chevrolet to Lake Street approximately where the I-20 westbound off ramp for Spring Street is now. FAR BACKGROUND: The Cotton Belt bridge now owned by Union Pacific but used by both UP and KCS. |

In the 1930s. It would have been too far to the left to have been in this picture even if it had been there in 1928.
