Cedric Glover is the New Mayor of Shreveport
Glover, a Democrat, won 53 percent of the vote compared to Republican Jones' 47 percent.

I didn't vote for Glover, but Congratulations! Even when "my" candidate looses, I still appreciate the democratic system. I hope he is able to get some things done that his predicessors could not. I am especially interested in ideas on making Shreveport more "business friendly" when compared to other areas.

The people of Shreveport are not very smart. Glover was not impressive as a legislator, therefore who thinks he will be able to handle his new job? Will the city suffer financially? Bossier may grow at a much faster rate now.

The Mayor
Mayor Glover is going to be just like old Keith and spend, spend , spend. I just watched a clip of the city council and with all the fighting that goes on they are like children. Why do the higher educated people stay away from public office ? I think the value of my house in Bossier will be going up in the
next four years and that means tax increase. People have been moving to Bossier for the last ten years to get away from the crime and poor government in Shreveport. Now they have four more years of brother in-law politics in Shreveport and some how I just don't feel like a brother in Shreveport. I did vote and have only missed voting one time in 28 years and I was the first at my precinct to vote. There will be some flight to Bossier in the next four years. Try to walk thru the Board Walk with your pants down. Will not happen there. Isaac |

it always amazes me how much money these people spend running for office. no 'normal' person could every afford to run for office it seems, even if they wanted to. |

It does take a great guy to do great things. It takes someone with the back bone to do great things. I am a minority in Shreveport and I want my fair share of the entitlements.

Where is my fair share. I am educated, serving the community in an honorable career. I guess my fair share is being in a high tax bracket. As minority status, according to shreveport census I am a minority as well
