POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT NON-EMERGENCY TELEPHONE LINES DOWN
By Tom Pace, Executive Editor, SBLive!
December 18th, 2007
The Bossier City Police and Fire Departments are experiencing problems with their non-emergency telephone lines and as a result persons attempting contact either department for non-emergencies are unable to get through.
It is important to note that calls routed through Bossier 911 are not affected due to a backup system that is in place. Persons who dial 9-1-1 in need of emergency response from the Bossier City Police or Fire Departments will still get through.
The problem is with the phone company and efforts are underway to correct the problem.
Persons are asked not to call 9-1-1 to contact the Bossier City Police/Fire Departments for non-emergency matters at this time.
