Six year old Jackson Kennedy has cancer. The son of Bossier Police Officer Jeremy Kennedy, Jackson was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Jackson is scheduled to have surgery this Thursday, January 17th, at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

In order to help the Kennedy family off-set costs not covered by insurance, members of Bossier City Police Local 645 will hold a fish fry fundraiser this Saturday, January 19 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the parking lot of Airline High School, 2801 Airline Drive, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Dinners of fried catfish, hushpuppies, French fries and a drink will be available at a cost of $8 each. The food for the sale is being donated by Cypress Inn Restaurant.

A bank account for Jackson has also been established at Barksdale Federal Credit Union in Jackson’s name. Anyone who wishes to donate to the account can do so by visiting any Barksdale Federal Credit Union location.
