![]() It would cost at least $94 billion to find, detain and remove all 12 million people believed to be staying illegally in the United States, the federal government estimated Wednesday.

We waste a good chunk of that every year on a senseless and unwinnable war on drugs, why not use it to affect people that are breaking sensible laws, too/instead?

We don't have to deport them, and I don't think anyone will try. They'll go home if they can't get jobs or welfare. (Enforce laws preventing the hiring of illegals.)

Right, it's pointless trying to deport them again and again. They will keep coming back so long as they think they can get jobs here. Cut off the jobs and they will stop coming here. The penalty for hiring illegal workers should be made much more severe.
