Of course Louisiana got a failing grade. The organization which conducted the study is a pro-abortion organization, and pushes to have taxpayers pay for contraceptives.
Furthermore, many of the factors included in the study are behavior based, not from lack of medical care. Some factors have nothing to do with healthcare whatsoever. 1. Women in county without an abortion provider 2. no leisure time 3. eating five fruits and veggies daily (does anybody do this?) 4. smoking 5. binge drinking 6. obesity 7. chlamydia 8. unintended pregnancies (not a problem with healthcare, but with morality or lack thereof) 9. wage gap 10. poverty 10. high school completion http://www.nwlc.org/details.cfm?id=1861§ion=health |
