Nightlife can be exciting, nightlife can be fun, and nightlife can even be risky fun when gambling money and the stakes are high. But no matter what kind of nightlife a person enjoys most, Shreveport-Bossier City offers plenty of opportunities to have fun. The 5 major resort casinos provide an ever changing venue of evening shows at their clubs and concert theaters. For example, the Eldorado Casino’s Celebrity Lounge features karaoke singing on Monday nights, a blues jam for musicians on Tuesday nights, and various kinds of special acts and attractions on other nights. For those who love comedy, the Funny Bone is a great place to catch nationally known and local comedians performing live Wednesday through Saturday nights each week.

Opportunities to have fun at night exist all around Shreveport-Bossier City

A particularly lively nightlife scene is happening around Texas and Commerce Streets in Shreveport’s Riverfront District. Chicago Downtown is a 3-level club that features dancing upstairs in the Havana Club with views overlooking the Red River and the neon-lighted Texas Street Bridge, and live music downstairs in the Vargas Lounge. The Warehouse on Commerce Street also features live music, plus karaoke, billiard tables and large screen TV’s. Throughout the entire Shreveport-Bossier City Metropolitan Area people can easily find friendly little neighborhood bars with cheery names like Cheer's Sports Bar where daily drink specials, live sports telecasts and karaoke competitions bring the neighbors in for nightly fun.   A few notable hot spots around town include Freddie Mack’s for live music and video poker, Wet Willies for more than 10 different flavors of frozen daiquiris, the Blind Tiger and Lacy’s Mojos. For nighttime musical entertainment, Lee’s specializes in Cajun, Zydeco, rhythm and blues, and country music while the Phoenix Underground features the best hits of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. For those who desire a more bodacious experience, a wild mechanical bull named Roperdacious awaits all aspirants at Roper's Night Life, a country western style nightclub. And for those who prefer to appreciate a peaceful yet stimulating evening of gourmet dining and dancing, Ernest's Orleans provides live jazz and blues bands in a more upscale kind of setting to accompany their signature steak and seafood dinners.
